Why I enjoy food too much? Or why do I drink more coffee than my doctor advises ?
Because they are all mini-vacations I take during the day. My gateway from the pressures and frustrations, imposed by a busy schedule, to find my ground again.
When I take the first bite of a delicious meal, I feel an explosion of pleasure and delight and I completely forget, even for a few seconds, about my stress and worries. Or when I make coffee, I first smell that enticing and stimulating aroma, making me excited for the taste and the energy boost I’ll enjoy soon.
To me it really is about being grateful and appreciating the banal things. It’s how I make sure I treat myself a little, experiencing a bit of joy and relaxation every day.
